Our History
In 1944 Dallas Cotillion Club was founded as the Junior Arts League of Dallas. As one of Dallas’s premiere social clubs for women, Dallas Cotillion Club’s membership has reached over 200 members. Dallas Cotillion Club connects young women with common interests through various types of social events. DCC members engage in numerous social, professional networking, and community involvement opportunities.
Our Members
Our membership is extremely diverse and well-rounded. All members are very involved in other areas of the community including organizations such as Slipper Club, Junior League of Dallas, Idlewild Debutantes, The Traveler’s Society, Junior Associates of the Dallas Museum of Art, and many other organizations through college and sorority alumnae groups.
Many of our members are native Dallasites and grew up knowing of Cotillion Club. Several members are legacies — their mothers and grandmothers former DCC members. We also have many members who were not born and raised in Dallas. Many of these women are SMU or TCU alumnae or moved to Dallas after college and joined the club after learning of it through friends.
Our Events
Dallas Cotillion Club events are organized in to fall and spring seasons. During each season we conduct a voting party, hold a new member reception, host happy hours with each of the local gentleman’s clubs, attend a style show and participate in at least one multi-club event.
At each of our events we give our members exclusive access to new and exciting places in Dallas as well as many traditional landmarks. Cotillion Club women are smart, savvy, and well established within Dallas society. They enjoy visiting new venues, experiencing a variety of cultural events, being introduced to new products and fashion lines, connecting with friends, meeting new people and networking.
Some of our most recent and favorite event hosts include: Stanley Korshak, Kiehls, Neiman Marcus, Cerulean Gallery, MAKE, L.Bartlett, Krimson and Klover, and DeBoulle. For happy hours we often frequent: Standard, TABC, Stoneleigh P, The Quarter, and Barley House.
Our Signature Event
Our largest event of the year is the annual black-tie Cotillion Casino Gala held each January. Most recently this event benefited Communities In Schools, Dallas and was held at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
